Therapeutic Programs

The 7 Degrees of Change is venturing into a new arena to support children in need. We are honoring Dr. Jacqueline M. Cimorelli, or as she was known: Jacquie. She joined the faculty of Communication Sciences and Disorders at UNCG in 1977 after receiving her Ph.D. from Penn State University. She served as Department Head from 1992 to 2002 before her retirement in 2005. She authored Language Therapy: A Complete Cognitive Therapy Program. Jacquie co-authored two significant U.S. Department of Education grants among many other publications and accomplishments. Widely regarded as a master teacher and champion of both students and faculty, she influenced the discipline of speech language pathology on state and national levels. Jacquie passed away January 20, 2009, following a brief illness.

Equine Therapy

Working closely with the Horsepower Therapeutic Learning Center, the 7 Degrees will assist with fund raising and operational activities. The not for profit organization has served the Piedmont Triad since 1995. They are a premier PATH International center that provides therapeutic equine activities for over 300 individuals with disabilities annually.

Agri-Therapy

Adjacent to the Horsepower Equine Therapy program at the Cimorelli Therapeutic Farm, the 7 Degrees will provide an opportunity for children and young adults with challenging situations to raise and nurture small animals and have the opportunity to plant, take care of and harvest fruits, vegetables and farm fresh eggs.
